  1. 1
    Full project demo
    Times asked 1
  2. 2
    Demonstrate caching (didn't need to ask separately, i showed it working live on screen/terminal already)
    Times asked 2
  3. 3
    Asked to change the reminder schedule to send right now and I couldn't find the crontab config right away, he pointed me in the right direction and I got it working
    Times asked 2
  4. 4
    Asked me to create a new page/view showing "Hello world," wire it into the router, and run it live
    Times asked 2
  5. 5
    Very few theory questions — mostly focused on the demo and live tasks
    Times asked 2
Advice: Practice the "fetch all students" route it's asked almost every time. Also actually rehearse creating a brand-new view/page. He was very silent throughout, gave no reaction either way but don't read into that, just present confidently and keep going.
  1. 1
    change the setting in crontab so the reminder will be sent every minute into the GoogleSpace
    Times asked 2
Advice: He was very silent and unattentive. Felt like he did not saw anything at all. Prepare well and do not rely on response sheet. Just present confidently, he will not interfere at all. But he won't help either.

    Installed dependencies, all terminals were fired up and running.
    Times asked 2
  4. 4
    Started with demo. Finished it in 4-5 mins. Interrupted, asking if I had done any background jobs.
    Times asked 2
  5. 5
    I demoed the background tasks. There was some issue with the email id so the terminal showed error and the emails were not sending. I said I will fix it if you'll let me, he suggested a different way to fix it but I didn't do it becuse I don't have that file with me.
    Times asked 2
  6. 6
    Open notepad, write a route to return all students. He stopped me midway, and proceeded to the next question.
    Times asked 1
  7. 7
    Gave me the definition of "props" and asked me what's the term used to describe it? Asked if I have used it anywhere in my project.
    Times asked 2
Advice: Based on previous reviews I assumed he'd be a little moody but he was very friendly. His questions follow similar pattern, so learn from this sheet. Additionally, learn some random concepts from Vue, his questions on Vue are not particularly repetitive.
  1. 1
    Demonstrate the app
    Times asked 6
  2. 2
    Show GitHub repository if added collaborator
    Times asked 1
  3. 3
    In Notepad write a route which will return all the students
    Times asked 2
  4. 4
    Asked if I implemented the Backend jobs like monthly report, daily reminder
    Times asked 2
Advice: He is very silent throughout the viva. Said nothing, just asked questions and very inattentive. He may not ask hard questions but it's very exhausting when the proctor don't react to anything. All the best and just be confident.
  1. 1
    Show me ur id

    Times asked 2
  5. 5
    Asked if I had implemented caching and backend jobs and show that.
    Times asked 2
Advice: Give a detailed Demo. Know how to write basic route to fetch users.
  1. 1
    First complete project demo,
    Times asked 2
  2. 2
    Then for coding he asked me write a route to return all doctors (I have done hms project)

Advice: Speaks very little, won't interrupt you. Didn't have any issues with him, just know your stuff and you'll get full marks
  1. 1
    Show ID Card
    Times asked 7
    Official solution

    SimpleCamera pe clearly IITM/college ID dikhao — naam photo match.

    Pehle se ID haath mein rakho. Glare mat aane do. Examiner screenshot/verify karta hai. Iske baad GitHub + project run.

  2. 2
    What is Caching and where cache data is store
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    Simpledata() local diary. Store school notice board.

    Search query local. Logged-in user store. Persist: store + localStorage together.

    state vs data: similar concept, scope alag.

    Pehle 1-line definition, phir related MAD2 layer (Vue SFC / Flask route / models.py / tasks.py / Redis).

    4-line formula: input kahan se aaya, auth/validation kaunsa, DB ya cache ya Celery, kya return.

    Related mix mat karo — cache ≠ Celery, authentication ≠ authorization, v-if ≠ v-show, Beat ≠ Worker. Follow-up ke liye ek difference ready rakho.

    Example

    // local
    data() { return { q: '' } }
    // global
    this.$store.state.user

    Project example: Login.vue local form fields. this.$store.state.user Navbar.

  3. 3
    What is Single Page Application
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleAJAX page reload ke bina server se data laata hai. Aaj kal fetch() + Promises.

    fetch('/api/users').then(r => r.json()).then(data => { ... })
    Promise: future value (pending/fulfilled/rejected). fetch Promise return karta hai.
    SPA (Vue): ek HTML, baaki routes JS se, partial update. MAD1 generally full page render (Jinja) — submit pe poora refresh.
    async/await Promise ka clean syntax.

  4. 4
    Vue Code to return sum of two numbers
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleVue = UI ka smart assistant. Data badlo, screen khud update. MAD1 Jinja har click pe naya HTML.

    Progressive frontend framework. Components, reactivity, directives.

    MAD2 SPA: ek index.html, Vue Router pages, Flask sirf JSON.

    Fayde: easy, SFC, docs. Vs React: templates HTML-like, course sikhata hai. Vs plain JS: baar-baar DOM mat chhedo.

    Example

    <!-- HelloWorld.vue -->
    <template>
      <h1>{{ msg }}</h1>
    </template>
    <script>
    export default { data() { return { msg: 'Hello' } } }
    </script>

    Project example: Navbar.vue + views (Login, Dashboard). data() / setup() reactive. fetch APIs.

    Viva tipFayde: easy, SFC, reactivity. Vs React: chhota learning curve. Vs plain JS: UI state auto-update.

  5. 5
    Route to add a row to the trek table
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleProject overview: problem → roles → main entities → key flows (register, book, admin approve).

    Viva tip1 minute elevator pitch ready rakho, phir demo.

Advice: Sir is good. Be calm and answer questions
  1. 1
    >Then he asked code to all drives (which I did)

  2. 2
    >Then asked me to code a route for new drives (I couldn't )
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleLive Flask coding: chhota route likho, save, browser/curl se test. Syntax error terminal mein padho.

    Example

    @app.route('/ping')
    def ping():
        return jsonify(ok=True)

    @app.route('/even/<int:n>')
    def even(n):
        return 'even' if n % 2 == 0 else 'odd'

    SimpleLive coding: notepad/editor mein chhota Flask route / Jinja loop / model field. Calm raho, run karke dikhao.

  5. 5
    >I hope he rots in hell
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimplePehle 1-line definition, phir apne MAD1 project mein file dikhao, phir chhota example.

    Suggested flow1) Concept kya hai?
    2) Mere code mein kahan?
    3) Example / demo
    4) Edge case

    Example

    # related file: models.py / routes / template

  5. 5
    python code to fetch all the trek which have difficulty level set easy 9.why do we use caching
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleCache isliye taaki 100 users same dashboard pe DB ko 100 baar na maror dein.

    Problem: repeated reads, slow page, extra load. Cache seconds ke liye snapshot deta hai.

    Nahi use karna: har second badalne wala live stock, user-private secret data bina soch ke (key mein user_id hona chahiye).

    Memoization caching ka subset hai (function args). HTTP 304 / browser cache alag layer.

    Redis in-memory key-value store hai — fridge pe sticky note, poori kitchen (SQL database) har baar mat kholo.

    MAD2 mein Redis do kaam: (1) cache — same venues/shows/dashboard JSON baar-baar DB se nahi (2) Celery broker — Flask task queue mein daalta hai, worker uthata hai.

    Flow: cache.get(key) → hit pe return, miss pe SQLAlchemy + SET with timeout. Admin write ke baad cache.delete, warna stale list.

    Source of truth database hi hai. Redis crash/band = cache miss (app chalni chahiye) + queue ruk sakti hai. Important bookings sirf Redis mein mat rakho.

    Alag: Redis ≠ Memcached (Celery broker nahi). Redis ≠ localStorage (woh browser). redis-cli ping → PONG viva proof.

    Project example: Shows list har user dekhta hai — perfect cache. Booking POST cache nahi — har baar write.

Advice: he is very nice I messed up while starting my application process as i opend the wrong folder so he gave me type to redo everything and gave me time . he is not that responsive he gave me q to code and i was sitting there i thought he will see it and say something but he didn't i had to tell him i am done. he then told me that don't be nervous for viva 2 and asked my name and were i am from and stuff like that - over all hes very sweet and nice , will not grind you too much as simple question ehich u can answer in layman term .
  1. 1
    Ask to write model for User
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    Simplemodels.py = har table ki class: columns, PK/FK, relationships. Yeh Model layer hai.

    Suggested flow1) Classes list karo
    2) Har table ka kaam 1 line
    3) Relationships (1-M / M-M)
    4) Constraints (unique, nullable)

    Example

    class Lot(db.Model):
        id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key=True)
        name = db.Column(db.String(80), nullable=False)
        spots = db.relationship('Spot', backref='lot', lazy=True)
  2. 2
    Ask to show git repository
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleGitHub repo public/private policy ke hisaab, MAD-1 collaborator add, commits dikhao.

    Repo → Settings → Collaborators → instructor added.
    Commits: git log / GitHub History — regular commits better, ek dum 1 commit suspicious.
    README + report mein AI usage likha hona chahiye agar use kiya.

Advice: Focus on coding questions and he don't disturb when I demonstrate my project.
  1. 1
    project demonstration took around 17-20 minutes
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleDemo script pehle se practice: 5–7 min, Admin + User roles, saare mandatory features.

    Suggested flow1) Register/login user
    2) Admin login — CRUD
    3) Approval/blacklist
    4) Booking/apply + edge case
    5) Search
    6) Logout

    Viva tipBolte-bolte dikhao. Code tab kholna jab poochhein.

  2. 2
    what is payload
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimplePayload = dabba ke andar samaan (body). JWT payload beech wala claims (encrypted nahi).

    POST haan JSON. GET query string. JWT payload vs HTTP payload alag context.

    HTTP verbs + status REST ki zabaan. GET read, POST create, PUT replace, PATCH partial, DELETE remove. GET typically no body.

    Status: 200 OK, 201 created, 202 accepted (Celery task), 400 bad input, 401 no/bad token, 403 role nahi, 404 missing, 409 conflict (double book), 500 server.

    AJAX/fetch page reload nahi. SPA poori isi pe. Postman se bina Vue ke API prove karo — examiner pasand.

    Project example: request.get_json() create venue. Token payload user id jwt.io.

  3. 3
    does GET have payload
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleViva wrap-up hai. Short thanks + confirm submission ZIP latest hai.

  4. 4
    write login route (less time so just started asking questions instead)
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleLive Flask coding: chhota route likho, save, browser/curl se test. Syntax error terminal mein padho.

    Example

    @app.route('/ping')
    def ping():
        return jsonify(ok=True)

    @app.route('/even/<int:n>')
    def even(n):
        return 'even' if n % 2 == 0 else 'odd'
  5. 5
    what is SQLAlchemy
    Times asked 3
    Official solution

    SimpleSQLAlchemy Python ka sabse popular ORM hai. MAD1 mein Flask-SQLAlchemy wrapper use hota hai.

    db = SQLAlchemy(app)

    class Book(db.Model):
        id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key=True)
        title = db.Column(db.String(80), nullable=False)

    Operations: db.session.add(obj), .commit(), .delete(obj), Model.query.all(), .filter_by(), .get_or_404(id).
    db.Model ek class hai (function nahi). db object engine + session + metadata hold karta hai.

    SQLALCHEMY_TRACK_MODIFICATIONS=False extra signals band karta hai, performance warning hatati hai.

  6. 6
    what is ORM
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleORM = Object Relational Mapping. Database tables ko Python classes/objects se map karta hai, raw SQL kam likhni padti hai.

    Bina ORM: cursor.execute('SELECT * FROM user WHERE id=?', [5])
    ORM se: User.query.get(5) ya db.session.get(User, 5)

    Example model

    class User(db.Model):
        id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key=True)
        email = db.Column(db.String(120), unique=True)

    FaydePython mein soch sakte ho, SQL injection se protection (parameterized), relationships easy, DB switch thoda aasan.

    What are lifecycle hooks.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleVue.js frontend framework — reactive UI components. MAD2 mein common, MAD1 optional.

    Component: reusable UI (Navbar.vue) + data + template.
    Props: parent → child data. Child → parent: $emit('update', val).
    Slots: parent child ke andar extra HTML daal sakta hai.
    Lifecycle: created (data setup), mounted (DOM ready — API call), updated, unmounted.
    v-model two-way bind. Vue Router SPA routes (routes.js). Vuex/Pinia global state; mutations sync change, actions async.
    Standalone component: khud ke saath compile, parent register kam.

  7. 7
    Did you do caching? Which routes are cached? What is caching? Show me the caching related code.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleList GET endpoints @cache. Not POST. Which routes are cached. Show cached API explain invalidation.

    Why each.

    Redis in-memory key-value store hai — fridge pe sticky note, poori kitchen (SQL database) har baar mat kholo.

    MAD2 mein Redis do kaam: (1) cache — same venues/shows/dashboard JSON baar-baar DB se nahi (2) Celery broker — Flask task queue mein daalta hai, worker uthata hai.

    Flow: cache.get(key) → hit pe return, miss pe SQLAlchemy + SET with timeout. Admin write ke baad cache.delete, warna stale list.

    Source of truth database hi hai. Redis crash/band = cache miss (app chalni chahiye) + queue ruk sakti hai. Important bookings sirf Redis mein mat rakho.

    Alag: Redis ≠ Memcached (Celery broker nahi). Redis ≠ localStorage (woh browser). redis-cli ping → PONG viva proof.

    Project example: Open decorators.

  8. 8

    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleSync line pe ruk jao (2+2). Async I/O pe wait karte hue baaki kaam chalte (fetch, Celery).

    JS async ≠ Celery async jobs. Context se bolo.

    Why async jobs: slow/scheduled/bulk off request thread.

    Pehle 1-line definition, phir related MAD2 layer (Vue SFC / Flask route / models.py / tasks.py / Redis).

    4-line formula: input kahan se aaya, auth/validation kaunsa, DB ya cache ya Celery, kya return.

    Related mix mat karo — cache ≠ Celery, authentication ≠ authorization, v-if ≠ v-show, Beat ≠ Worker. Follow-up ke liye ek difference ready rakho.

    SimpleLogin flow pehle poochta hai "tu kaun hai?", token milne ke baad har API pe wohi proof dikhate ho.

    Authentication step: Vue form email + password JSON POST karta hai. Flask user dhoondhta hai, check_password_hash se prove karta hai ki tum genuine ho. Galat 401. Sahi pe JWT + role milta hai — yeh session/token hai.

    Vue localStorage (ya cookie) mein token rakhta hai, dashboard pe router.push. Aage ki har fetch header: Authorization: Bearer <token>. @jwt_required identity check (authentication). @roles_required('admin') permission check (authorization) — logged in ho, lekin allowed nahi to 403.

    Validation alag cheez hai: empty email, password 8+ — form sahi bhara hai ya nahi. Woh identity prove nahi karta.

    What is a cache hit?
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleHit = Redis ke paas jawab already hai. Miss = pehle DB se lana padega.

    Hit pe database queried nahi hota — yahi examiner prove karwana chahta hai.

    Typical flow:
    1) cache.get(key)
    2) mila to return (hit)
    3) nahi mila to query + cache.set + return (miss)

    Timeout ke baad key expire = next request phir miss. cache.clear() sab hataata hai, cache.delete(key) sirf ek route.

    Example

    data = cache.get('venues')
    if data:
        return data          # hit
    data = Venue.query.all() # miss
    cache.set('venues', data, timeout=30)
    return data

    Project example: Pehli GET /api/venues — terminal mein SQL/print. Doosri GET turant — koi DB log nahi.

    Viva tipHit pe database queried nahi hota. print() after set sirf miss pe chalega.

    What tool have you used for caching?
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleCache = pehli baar hisaab karke copy rakh lo, doosri baar copy dikha do.

    Baar-baar same expensive kaam (DB query, counting bookings) mat karo. Result Redis jaise store mein timeout ke saath rakh do.

    Cache hit: key mil gayi, DB skip. Cache miss: DB se lao, SET karo, return karo.

    Tradeoff: speed vs stale data. Admin naya venue add kare aur cache 50s ka ho to user purani list dekh sakta hai — isliye write pe invalidation zaroori hai.

    Browser cache, Flask-Caching, Redis alag layers hain. MAD2 examiner Redis + @cache.cached code dekhta hai.

    Example

    Example

    User.query.get(id)
    User.query.filter_by(blacklisted=True)
    Drive.query.filter_by(approved=False)
