    @app.route('/ping')
    def ping():
        return jsonify(ok=True)

    @app.route('/even/<int:n>')

    Official solution

    SimplePehle 1-line definition, phir apne MAD1 project mein file dikhao, phir chhota example.

    Suggested flow1) Concept kya hai?
    2) Mere code mein kahan?
    3) Example / demo
    4) Edge case

    Example

    # related file: models.py / routes / template
    # formula: request → check/auth → DB → render/redirect

    Viva tipExact line yaad nahi to honestly related part dikhao. Bluff mat karo.

Advice: be confident to write the code
  1. 1
    Level 2 viva :
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleLevel = viva difficulty band. Level 1 usually demo + basics; higher pe live coding + deeper theory.

    Viva tipJo level assign hai uske hisaab se demo + theory ready rakho.

  2. 2
    - Asked me to set up my camera, download project, checked id card as well and asked me to run my app
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleCamera pe clearly college/IITM ID dikhao — naam aur photo match hone chahiye.

    Viva tipPehle se ID haath mein rakho, glare mat aane do. Iske baad GitHub + project run.

  3. 3
    - started with the demo but he himself started mentioning what he wants to see further so went with that, He majorly checked creating doctors and booking appointments giving availablity etc.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleDemo script pehle se practice: 5–7 min, Admin + User roles, saare mandatory features.

    Suggested flow1) Register/login user
    2) Admin login — CRUD
    3) Approval/blacklist
    4) Booking/apply + edge case
    5) Search
    6) Logout

    Viva tipBolte-bolte dikhao. Code tab kholna jab poochhein.

  4. 4
    - asked a bit about models like why have I used orm, why user mixin, just basic questions over random code he could see
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleORM = Object Relational Mapping. Tables → Python classes. Raw SQL kam likhte ho.

    Example

    class User(db.Model):
        id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key=True)
        email = db.Column(db.String(120), unique=True)

    User.query.get(5)  # SELECT ... WHERE id=5
  5. 5
    - same for routes, he specifically asked for doctor delete route and asked me to make a change so that if a doctor has upcoming appointment, admin gets a warning message
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleLive UI change: relevant CSS/HTML template kholo — color, margin, flex, bootstrap class. Save + hard refresh.

    Example

    /* button red */
    .btn-primary { background: red; }

    /* center navbar item */
    .navbar { justify-content: center; }

    Viva tipDevTools se pehle try, phir file mein permanent change.

  6. 6
    - in models, asked for relationship between appointments, doctor and patient
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    Simpledb.relationship se object graph: lot.spots, booking.user. backref reverse side auto deta hai.

    Example

    spots = db.relationship('Spot', backref='lot', cascade='all, delete-orphan')
  7. 7
    - also asked why did I have extensions.py (i was getting a circular import problem in my models.py and app.py that's why I had that so I explained the same)
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    Simplemodels.py = har table ki class: columns, PK/FK, relationships. Yeh Model layer hai.

    Suggested flow1) Classes list karo
    2) Har table ka kaam 1 line
    3) Relationships (1-M / M-M)
    4) Constraints (unique, nullable)

    Example

    class Lot(db.Model):
        id = db.Column(db.Integer, primary_key=True)
        name = db.Column(db.String(80), nullable=False)
        spots = db.relationship('Spot', backref='lot', lazy=True)
Advice: The proctor is really calm and nice, he just focuses on the project and ask relevant questions, doesn't go for theory much. The proctor really just wants to check if the student is clear with the basics of app, for the rest he does help with writing code, i was nervous while editing the code so he did explain me what I should be doing and why is it necessary so it was really nice of him, so yes just be thorough with your basics and code that's enough to convince him, my viva ended in like 30 mins where the first 10 mins was all about setting up mobile, downloading app etc.
  1. 1
    Started off by instructing me to setup my environment and installing requirements.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimplePehle 1-line definition, phir apne MAD1 project mein file dikhao, phir chhota example.

    Suggested flow1) Concept kya hai?
    2) Mere code mein kahan?
    3) Example / demo
    4) Edge case

    Example

    # related file: models.py / routes / template
    # formula: request → check/auth → DB → render/redirect

    Viva tipExact line yaad nahi to honestly related part dikhao. Bluff mat karo.

  2. 2
    Identify MVC in my app - which moved on to explain it by doing some action, like registering or adding a dept. or doctor. So, i described the MVC framework in action, going back and forth to code and browser.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleMVC: Model=data (SQLAlchemy), View=Jinja HTML, Controller=Flask routes/business logic.

    Flask loosely MVC follow karta hai — routes controllers, templates views, models.py models.

  3. 3
    Code Change. Asked me to add an address field, in doctor's registration. So I had to add a new column in doctor's model for the database, a new form field, pass it on the route, and finally in the html. I had some jinja exceptions, which I quickly fixed but he never rushed me through.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleJinja for loop list render karta hai. loop.index, else branch empty list pe.

    Example

    {% for u in users %}
      <tr><td>{{ loop.index }}</td><td>{{ u.email }}</td></tr>
    {% endfor %}
  4. 4
    Another Code Change had to do with changing minor text colors, what bootstrap class I'm using for that etc. __No more code changes__ For theory questions, I had to describe my database relationship in detail. I described I used "Usefield=False" for One-One relations, why i used "back_populate" instead of "back_ref"(He never asked me this, but I explained for clarity sakes and to dodge any further questions. Some explanation for keywords like, "redirect", "url_for", HTTP methods, "CSRF"(which I couldn't explain, I only knew this is used for security).
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    Simpledb.relationship se object graph: lot.spots, booking.user. backref reverse side auto deta hai.

    Example

    spots = db.relationship('Spot', backref='lot', cascade='all, delete-orphan')
Advice: The proctor is very calm and gives you enough time to explain your thought process, kind of trusts you to speak for yourself rather than rapid fire questions. Please practice minor code changes, and learn about keywords, terminologies associated with the whole Flask based system.

    while i was explaining he asked a lot of theory ques, and mostly he asks repeated ques. i focused on the ques present in this this sheet for my preparation and almost all the ques matched
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleTheory = concepts: ORM, MVC, auth vs authz, Jinja inheritance, sessions. 1-line def + project example.

  4. 4
    to close the flash mssgs i used a bit of JS, so he asked ab that. i didnt know what to say cuz i literally took it from google. and he said ok no issues just explain ab what it does so i did that
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleCode explain formula: input kya aaya → auth/validation → DB change → response/UI.

    Viva tipFunction signature + 3-4 important lines + edge case.

    Suggested flow1) Register/login user
    2) Admin login — CRUD
    3) Approval/blacklist
    4) Booking/apply + edge case
    5) Search
    6) Logout

    Viva tipBolte-bolte dikhao. Code tab kholna jab poochhein.

  7. 7
    he also asked me to provide slots as a doctor, told me to provide 2 slots at the exact same time and date.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleEdge cases: duplicate booking, full capacity, wrong role URL, empty search, invalid id.

    Example

    if Spot.query.get_or_404(spot_id).status != 'available':
        flash('Already taken')
        return redirect(...)
Advice: proctor is friendly and patient. if u get him just focus on the ques present in the sheet already becuz almost all of the ques are repeated. i booked for 9-10pm slot and my viva lasted around 30 mins
  1. 1
    Full demo of project.
    Times asked 1

  2. 2
    Model is normalised or not. What are 3nf, 2nf, 1nf forms.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleNormalisation: redundant data kam, tables todna. 1NF atomic, 2NF partial dep hatao, 3NF transitive dep hatao.

    Viva tip

    Exampleuser address alag table vs har booking mein dubara store.

  3. 3
    Wht is difference between 3 tier and 2 tier architecture.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleMAD1 typical: Browser → Flask routes → validate/auth → SQLAlchemy → SQLite → Jinja response.

    Suggested flowRequest → Route → Auth check → DB → render_template / redirect

  4. 4
    What is MVC ? How it's used in the code.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleMVC: Model=data (SQLAlchemy), View=Jinja HTML, Controller=Flask routes/business logic.

    Flask loosely MVC follow karta hai — routes controllers, templates views, models.py models.

  5. 5
    Write code to take a input from a page and display it into another page.
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleLive Flask coding: chhota route likho, save, browser/curl se test. Syntax error terminal mein padho.

    Example

    @app.route('/ping')
    def ping():
        return jsonify(ok=True)

    @app.route('/even/<int:n>')
    def even(n):
        return 'even' if n % 2 == 0 else 'odd'
Advice: Id's are masked, so can't use specific questions. Good luck
  1. 1
    Different request methods
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleHTTP methods batate hain request kya karna chahti hai. Common: GET POST PUT PATCH DELETE.

    GETread/fetch. Safe, URL se. Page kholna, search.

    POSTcreate/submit. Form, login.

    PUTpoora replace/update. Idempotent.

    PATCHpartial update.

    DELETEhataana.

    HEAD: sirf headers. OPTIONS: CORS preflight.

    Flask: @app.route('/x', methods=['GET','POST'])
    Agar methods na likho to default sirf GET.
    HTML form native sirf GET/POST. PUT/DELETE JS/fetch ya hidden _method se.
    GET se data fetch ho sakta hai, create nahi karna chahiye. POST se theoretically fetch ho sakta hai lekin cache/semantics galat.
    DELETE fetch ke liye nahi. GET POST ka kaam officially nahi karta — side effects GET pe mat rakho.

  2. 2
    GET vs POST
    Times asked 2
    Official solution

    SimpleGET data read/show karta hai (idempotent). POST create/submit karta hai (form).

    Example

    @app.route('/login', methods=['GET', 'POST'])
    def login():
        if request.method == 'POST':
            # validate + session
            ...
        return render_template('login.html')
  3. 3

Advice: proctor is chill
  1. 1
    She asks lot of questions once you answered. Please make sure, you practice the questions that is already present in this sheet. for all proctor. make sure you properly understand the questions and concept. if you impress her with your theorical questions, she is very chill. she asked me to open simple txt file and give three simple tasks, one related to jinja for loop, one is jinja if loop, one is give simple route for square of a number. then for code questions you need to make sure whatever it is there you understand clearly. More focus on your routes, models and all basic html, css things. she asked me to change the doctor name with doctor name - specilization. then simple simple filtering questions. if you tried hard, to do, and if she felt you are tring hard, she will also help you if you stuck inbetween. Overall, she is very good proctor, if you perform well, she will chill, otherwise she will roast you both sides. be careful. happy leaning!

    {% endfor %}
Advice: She obessed with css z index idk why, then routes and models, jinja templates, simple simple code changes, very good proctor, very motivative, kind, strict all in one. lol

  7. 7
    scaling(not directly but with scenario what if multiple user try to your app)
    Times asked 1
    Official solution

    SimpleLoad badhe to handle: scale up/out, cache, async, DB tune.

    SQL scale: indexes, pool, replicas, partition, cache hot queries.

    Pehle 1-line definition, phir related MAD2 layer (Vue SFC / Flask route / models.py / tasks.py / Redis).

    4-line formula: input kahan se aaya, auth/validation kaunsa, DB ya cache ya Celery, kya return.

    Related mix mat karo — cache ≠ Celery, authentication ≠ authorization, v-if ≠ v-show, Beat ≠ Worker. Follow-up ke liye ek difference ready rakho.

    Project example: If 10k: URI postgres, gunicorn, cache, celery concurrency.
